The tire is the most important part of a vehicle regarding safety. There were approximately 11,000 related tire accidents according to NHTSA in 2017. Tire waste is abundant and discarding tires adds to further waste in our environment. The quest is how to make the tire more environmentally green and still maintain its excellence regarding performance with ability for safety.

The environmental impact of tires in the world is significant. The Awesome Company would like to take the recipe for tires and introduce a few replacement components. Use Algae fiber from the Algae oil extraction process and instead of petroleum oil use oil from Algae to create a greener alternative to the current recipe.

Why are waste tires banned from landfills? They do not readily decompose within a landfill They are not easily compacted During the decomposition process within a landfill, lighter‐end gases are released. These gases can build up within the interior of the tire, making the tire gradually "float" to the surface. This compromises the integrity of the landfill design, and results in tires that won't stay buried.
